This font is part of my diploma thesis.

I designed Bagarozz (this is version 2.0) to study possibilities offered by ordinary fonts to create illustrations in a simple way through combination / processing of some preset shapes (keys).

My research ended with the creation of Brodo that brought these ideas on a new level with the introduction of 3d element.

Bagarozz (that means “bugs”) is totally free and you may use it for commercial and non commercial uses, without asking permission.

UPDATE

I am really honored to be mentioned in Luc Devroye’s site: I always thought that directory rich and important and I find it’s marvellous that my name appear near to other great professionals in the Experimental and Italian typeface panorama pages (I believe I don’t deserve it, BUT IT’S SO GOOD :) ).

Thanks for this to Dafont.com, fontsquirrel and abstractfonts who added Aierbazzi font and Bagarozz font to their online free catalogue and gave me the possibility to be a little more visible.

UPDATE 2

Thanks to Luciano Perondi, active font designer and teacher at ISIA in Urbino, I decided to turn aierbazzi and bagarozz in an opensource project and so, now, You can download the Bagarozz Open Font Pack with licenses and interchange UFO format.

Good work / fun to who want go ahead with the project or simply to who want to give a peek at the font more closely.

this is amazing, I think it’s a great way to play around with fonts I’d never thought of putting the characters right on top of each other. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Really lovely and innovative work. I love processes like this which involve taking a technology and doing unexpected things with it. In a way I guess this could almost be described as font-hacking :)

Also the fact that different words and names are ‘iconised’ automatically is lovely. Great work.
